The French Tapered Rolling Pin is a lighter-weight, tapered wooden rolling pin that is easy to maneuver for pie crusts, cookies, and other doughs. JK Adams says its slightly textured North American hardwood holds a dusting of flour well, which helps keep dough from sticking.
